Is parking available?
Yes, there is ample street parking in front of the building, and a large dedicated parking lot behind the building.
What are the pricing options?
The studio is rented at an hourly rate, ranging from $40 – $50/hour, with reduced rates for longer booking times. Pricing is approximately 40% lower than studios in Guelph or Kitchener, which range from $65 to $120 per hour. Additionally, there’s a 10% discount for bookings Monday to Thursday. What is the studio clean-up policy?
Guests are expected to leave the studio clean and organized, including sweeping, furniture arrangement, trash disposal, and shoe removal in inclement weather. Instructions are included at the studio.
Can I bring outside food and drinks to the studio?
Yes, you are welcome to bring food and drinks inside the studio, or explore the options at May’s Café at the Old Post. Please ensure all trash is disposed of at the end of your rental time.
Is there WIFI available?
Yes, WiFi is available throughout the building. Credentials are posted in the studio.
Can I tour the space before booking?
Absolutely! Give us a call or send an email to arrange a viewing.
How far in advance do I need to book?
Bookings must be made a minimum of 3 days beforehand.
How much time is there between bookings?
There is a minimum of 1 hour between bookings.
Where is the studio located and is it accessible?
The studio is located at Unit 3, 39 Elora St. S., Harriston, and is wheelchair accessible through an outside ramp. The building also has an accessible washroom. Please note that doors are not automated.
What amenities does the studio offer?
The studio is a “blank canvas” with ample space to add the lighting equipment, backdrops, props, and furniture you need to support your creative process.
Additional private space is available for makeup /changing, as well as an accessible washroom, and the outside courtyard is open for additional photography space, or meeting and eating.
WiFi is also available throughout the building (credentials are posted in the studio).
What is the refund policy for cancellations?
Refunds vary based on notice.
Full refund for cancellations received 72 hours before booking time.
50% refund for cancellations received 48 hours before booking time.
No refunds will be provided for no-shows and cancellations received less than 48 hours before booking time.
What is the capacity of the space?
The space can accommodate up to 24 people sitting or 30 standing.
Can I host other events besides photo shoots?
Certainly! The space is versatile and can accommodate various events such as meetings, dinners, and private events. A security deposit may apply for large groups.
Can I hire a photographer through the studio?
Yes, the studio can connect you with local photographers for your event.
Are pets allowed?
Yes, pets are welcome but must remain only in the rental space.
